Hailed as “one of the best pop-jazz vocal groups in the world” by the San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles-based a cappella group m-pact is respected worldwide as a cutting edge trailblazer in the realm of vocal music. Since forming in Seattle in 1995, the band has toured renowned fine arts halls and jazz festivals across four continents, and performed with pop and jazz superstars Sheryl Crow, Boyz II Men, Natasha Bedingfield, Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, and many others. Led by veteran m-pact singer, beatboxer, and artistic director Jeff Smith, the group is making their first Seattle-area appearance since the 2016 retirement of founding members Trist Curless and Marco Cassone. As m-pact enters their third decade with a brand-new lineup of some of the world’s most exciting young vocal talent, they are once again breaking new ground with new recording projects, music videos, and awe-inspiring live performances.
