We are very excited to announce that our Grand Opening has been set for May 11-13th! We will be kicking things off with performances featuring jazz vocalist Dee Daniels. Dee has enjoyed a distinguished career as a renowned vocalist and jazz educator. Although she has performed extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad, Dee is a much beloved figure here on the Northwest music scene. She has served as artistic director for the Friends of Frank DiMiero Jazz Festival and has been a featured artist with the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra as part of the popular Sacred Concert featuring the music of Duke Ellington. Dee was also a member of the advisory board for the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival from 2002 to 2008 and in 2001, she established the Dee Daniels Vocal Jazz Scholarship at the Capilano University in North Vancouver, BC. Known for her four octave range and her blues and gospel influences, Dee is an extraordinary jazz musician who thrills audiences wherever she plays.
In other news, our build out continues to move along at a steady place. Recent milestones include installation of the “hood” which is an air filtering system that makes sure that any exhaust coming from the kitchen is clean and environmentally friendly. We’ve also put up all of our drywall and have installed the framework of what will soon be the bar! Please take a moment to have a peek at the latest construction photos!
